1. Sponsor
The giveaway is sponsored by 8th Street Tavern, 800 Washington Street, Hoboken, New Jersey 07030 (“Sponsor”).

2. Eligibility
The giveaway is open to legal residents of New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut who are at least 21 years old at the time of entry.
Employees, owners, and managers of 8th Street Tavern, along with members of their immediate households, are not eligible to enter.
The giveaway is void where prohibited by law.
3. Giveaway Period
The giveaway begins September 10, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time and ends December 1, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
Entries received outside this period will not be accepted.
4. How to Enter
To receive one entry, an eligible person must:
- Follow @8thstreettavern on Instagram
- Like the official cruise giveaway post
- Comment on the official giveaway post and tag one friend
No purchase, payment, bar visit, or alcohol purchase is required.
Limit one entry per person, regardless of the number of comments submitted. Additional comments will not provide additional chances to win.
Duplicate, automated, fraudulent, incomplete, or fake-account entries may be disqualified. Entrants must continue following @8thstreettavern until the winner has been selected and verified.
The person tagged in the comment does not have to be the entrant’s cruise guest.
5. Prize
One verified winner will receive a cruise for the winner and one guest.
The maximum total value of the prize is $2,500. This maximum includes the cruise fare, applicable government taxes, and port fees for both travelers.
8th Street Tavern will present the winner with available cruise options, including applicable dates, cruise lines, destinations, departure ports, and cabin categories. The winner may select one of the options presented.
All cruise options are subject to availability and approval by 8th Street Tavern. The Sponsor is not required to provide any particular cruise, cruise line, ship, destination, departure port, cabin category, or travel date.
8th Street Tavern will book and pay the cruise provider directly. No prize funds will be paid directly to the winner.
6. Expenses Not Included
Unless 8th Street Tavern expressly agrees otherwise in writing, the prize does not include:
- Transportation to or from the cruise port
- Airfare, hotels, parking, or ground transportation
- Gratuities
- Travel insurance
- Passports, visas, identification, or other travel documents
- Excursions
- Specialty dining
- Alcoholic beverages
- Internet, spa services, entertainment upgrades, or onboard purchases
- Medical expenses
- Any other personal or incidental expenses
The winner and guest are responsible for all expenses not specifically included in the prize.
7. Booking and Travel Deadlines
The winner must select and book the cruise within 30 days after being notified and verified as the winner.
The cruise must be completed by December 31, 2027.
Failure to select and book an available cruise within the 30-day period may result in forfeiture of the prize.
8. Traveler Requirements
The winner and guest must both be at least 21 years old by the sailing date.
Both travelers must satisfy all requirements imposed by the cruise line, government authorities, and applicable destinations. This includes obtaining valid identification, passports, visas, and any other required travel documents.
The winner and guest are responsible for determining which documents are required. Failure to obtain the necessary documents or satisfy the cruise line’s requirements will not entitle the winner to cash, reimbursement, replacement travel, or another prize.
9. Winner Selection
One potential winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries after the giveaway closes.
The drawing will take place on or before December 8, 2026.
The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
8th Street Tavern’s decisions regarding eligibility, entry validity, winner selection, and interpretation of these rules are final.
10. Winner Notification and Verification
The potential winner will be contacted only by direct message from the official @8thstreettavern Instagram account.
8th Street Tavern will never require the winner to make a purchase or provide payment, banking information, or credit card information to claim the prize.
The potential winner must respond within 48 hours after the notification is sent. The potential winner may be required to provide proof of identity, age, and residency and to sign eligibility, liability, publicity, and tax-related documents.
If the potential winner:
- Does not respond within 48 hours
- Cannot be contacted
- Is ineligible
- Did not complete all required entry steps
- Provides false or incomplete information
- Refuses to provide required verification or documentation
- Cannot accept the prize according to these rules
the potential winner will be disqualified and an alternate potential winner may be selected at random.
A winner is not official until eligibility has been verified by 8th Street Tavern.
11. Prize Restrictions
The prize may not be sold, transferred, exchanged, or redeemed for cash.
If the selected cruise costs less than $2,500, the winner will not receive the remaining difference in cash, credit, gift cards, upgrades, or any other form.
If the selected cruise would exceed $2,500, the winner must choose another option presented by 8th Street Tavern. Sponsor is not obligated to pay more than $2,500 under any circumstances.
The winner may not substitute another traveler after booking unless the change is approved by both 8th Street Tavern and the cruise line. The winner is responsible for any permitted name-change, cancellation, or rebooking charges.
12. Taxes
The winner is responsible for any federal, state, or local income taxes resulting from acceptance of the prize.
8th Street Tavern may require the winner to provide necessary tax information or documentation before the cruise is booked.
13. Cancellations and Changes
Cruise schedules, ships, ports, itineraries, and travel requirements may be changed or canceled by the cruise line or government authorities.
8th Street Tavern is not responsible for missed departures, denied boarding, illness, weather, itinerary changes, government actions, cruise-line decisions, or other circumstances outside its reasonable control.
If the winner or guest becomes unable to travel after booking, 8th Street Tavern is not required to provide a refund, cash payment, replacement cruise, reimbursement, or another prize.
14. Conduct and Disqualification
8th Street Tavern may disqualify any entrant who:
- Uses duplicate, fake, or automated accounts
- Attempts to obtain more than one entry
- Tampers with the entry or selection process
- Provides false information
- Harasses the Sponsor, other entrants, or the winner
- Violates these rules or Instagram’s terms
- Attempts to obtain an unfair advantage
15. Publicity and Privacy
Except where prohibited by law, the verified winner agrees that 8th Street Tavern may publicly announce the winner’s first name, last initial, Instagram username, photograph, and general hometown without additional compensation.
Information collected for winner verification and prize fulfillment will be used to administer the giveaway and comply with applicable legal and tax obligations.
16. Release of Liability
By entering, each entrant agrees to release and hold harmless 8th Street Tavern, Instagram, the selected cruise line, and their respective owners, employees, representatives, agents, and affiliates from claims arising from participation in the giveaway or the acceptance, booking, use, misuse, cancellation, or loss of the prize, except where prohibited by law.
The cruise line is not a sponsor or administrator of this giveaway unless expressly stated otherwise.
17. Instagram Disclaimer
This giveaway is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram.
By entering, each entrant completely releases Instagram from responsibility relating to this giveaway.
Entrants must comply with Instagram’s terms and may not inaccurately tag themselves or another person in content in which they do not appear.
18. General Conditions
8th Street Tavern may suspend, modify, postpone, or cancel the giveaway if fraud, technical problems, Instagram outages, legal requirements, or circumstances outside the Sponsor’s reasonable control prevent the giveaway from being conducted fairly or lawfully.
These rules and any dispute relating to the giveaway will be governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey.
